Dr. Treacy Adamo earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Northern Illinois University. She continued there to achieve her Masters of Science in Human Anatomy and used this training to teach Human Anatomy, General Biology, and Human Biology.
Changing careers, Dr. Adamo attended the Illinois College of Optometry as a Board of Trustees Scholar. She participated as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Fraternity and Tomb and Key Honor Fraternity.
Graduating Cum Laude, Dr. Adamo continued her training in ocular disease and low vision rehabilitation at the Jesse Brown Veteran Administration Medical Center in Chicago and at the Hines Veteran Administration Medical Center. Additionally, she has received her Advanced Compentency in Medical Optometry certification by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.
Dr. Adamo will provide low vision rehabilitation services at Midwest Eye Professionals.
She is also an attending optometrist at the Adam Benjamin Jr. VA outpatient clinic, in Crown Point, IN and serves as an adjunct clinical instructor for the Illinois College of Optometry.
Dr. Adamo is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association and the Illinois Optometric Association.
Dr. Adamo lives in New Lenox with her husband and son.
